Springy, sloping floors usually mean the wood and posts under them have been sitting in a damp crawl space for years. We stabilize the framing and stop the cause.

A floor that bounces, slopes, or has gaps opening at the baseboard is often a crawl-space problem, not a foundation one. Years of moisture soften the joists and girders and let the support posts settle. We stabilize the framing with proper supports and then dry out the space so it doesn’t start again.
Every scope is written down before we start. Here’s what typically goes into this work.
Floor framing is strong until it stays wet. In a damp crawl space, joists and girders slowly lose strength and the wood posts holding the center of your house can settle into softening soil. You feel it as a bounce, then a slope, then doors that stop closing right. It’s gradual, which is why a lot of homeowners live with it longer than they should.
We stabilize with adjustable steel supports set on proper footings, sister weakened joists, and reinforce the girders. Where it’s safe to, we bring the floor back toward level. Then we handle the moisture, because a repair over a still-wet crawl space just starts the clock again.
Not every uneven floor is a crawl-space fix. Real foundation movement, cracked footings, or major settlement can look similar and need a different scope. If your inspection points that way, we’ll tell you plainly and recommend a structural engineer rather than sell you supports that won’t solve it. We’d rather lose the job than do the wrong one.
A free written inspection with real humidity readings tells you exactly what your crawl space needs. No obligation, no pressure.
Real humidity readings, photos of what’s down there, and an honest scope. Then it’s your call.
